What is this place?
Javascript is a beautiful language but the glitches of environment it is running in could be a real nightmare.
Prototype's goal is to smooth these caveats, giving a freedom to express rather than fix bugs.
I give you REAL examples of best practices and useful techniques. I want you to NOT make mistakes that I did and show you what WORKS and what doesn't.

#Just to clear any confusion, Scripteka (the name of what you see on a picture) has nothing to do with Prototype UI (PWC successor project which I recently joined). Scripteka's goal is to provide an easy and convenient way of browsing, rating and submitting prototype-based extensions.

I am hoping with scriptaculous 2.0 it will be light as a feather so extensions like drag and drop, extra effects, can be plugged together. Which raises one more question potentialy, if this were to happen, I'd presume per extensions would check dependencies?

Scripteka will be hosted by us (me and mx_). Moderation will most likely be done by us and core developers (we are planning to introduce "top editors" section soon), while anyone will be able to submit own scripts and rate the other ones. Any feedback and constructive suggestions are very much appreciated.

I used Scriptaculous Control.Slider with few modifications. The wiki has an example of how to set it up as well as an extensive list of options.
